Pinnick takes over Hayatou’s role

President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has been appointed the President of the Organising Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations, a position previously occupied by ex-Confederation of African Football president, Issa Hayatou. The appointment was announced on Monday at the inaugural meeting of the new CAF Executive Committee in Manama, Bahrain, where the 67th FIFA Congress begins on Tuesday. It is the first time in CAF’s 60-year history that a Nigerian would head AFCON’s LOC. Pinnick was also named the president of CAF’s Media Committee, which was vacated by Benin Republic FA boss, Anjorin Moucharafou, who the Nigerian floored at the CAF elections in Ethiopia in March to become a CAF Executive Committee member. President of the Zimbabwe Football Federation, Philip Chiyangwa, is the deputy president of the AFCON committee. Removing Buhari through 2/3rd Majority by FEC will be the 8th Wonder of the World – Ozekhome

Abuja – Constitutional Lawyer and Human Rights Activist, Chief Mike Ozekhome has posited that it will be the proverbial ‘8th wonder of the world’ for 28 out of 42 ministers of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), to be mustered to secure a two-third majority and declare President Muhammadu Buhari unfit to govern Nigeria. Senate considers Buhari’s medical leave letter, lawmaker kicks

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, at the plenary on Tuesday read a letter from President Muhammadu Buhari informing the legislature of his medical vacation in the United Kingdom. Buhari said the leave was indefinite. While the President said in the letter that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo would “coordinate” the governance of the country during his absence, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa criticised the letter as not naming Osinbajo as Acting President and should be disregarded. The letter read, “In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), I wish to inform the distinguished Senate that I will be away for a scheduled medical follow-up with my doctors in London. The length of my stay will be determined by the doctor’s advice. While I am away, the Vice President will coordinate the activities of the government. Please accept, the distinguished Senate President, the assurances of my highest consideration.” But Ohuabunwa, while raising a point of order,
